Electronics Recycling
In addition, we will be having an electronic waste drive, so bring in your broken tech, small appliances, Christmas lights, and anything broken that takes batteries or needs to be plugged in, like remote controls, flashlights, and old video games systems. The heavier the better, because we raise money for our school based on the weight of items we are recycling.

A Note from Ms. Shannon

Dear Wonderful Chávez Parents & Guardians,

Our students are growing up in a time when the world can feel extra stressful and uncertain. News, social media, and big changes in our communities can affect how children think and feel. At the same time, our students show amazing strength, kindness, and resilience every day. If you’d like ideas, tools, or updates about how we’re supporting students, please visit my virtual Caregiver Corner using this link. You can also click the bottom right sticky note for the latest class visit updates. As always, please feel free to reach out if I can be of support. I am here for all students and families.

Wishing you well,

Shannon

Annual Assessment Notification

The Eugene 4j School District administers both Reading and math assessments to each of our students three times a year—fall, winter, and spring. Students scoring below the 20th percentile may be recommended, by the building-level team, to receive instructional interventions in reading and/or math. Students receiving interventions will have their progress monitored during regular intervals. At our school, all students receive at least 90 minutes of reading instruction and at least 70 minutes of instruction in the area of mathematics, each day. Parents/guardians will be notified if their child is recommended to receive additional reading and math instruction.
